Biography

M.J. Kabaci is an instructor and graduate advisor in family financial planning at Montana State University. She teaches online courses in the family financial planning master’s program as part of IDEA.  She also teaches as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Financial Planning, Housing and Consumer Economics at the University of Georgia.

Kabaci's interest in financial literacy was stimulated by her work with credit unions at the trade association for Georgia credit unions. She earned her doctorate in consumer economics with an emphasis in personal finance education from UGA.

She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Texas Tech University in mass communications. Previously, she worked in newspaper marketing in Texas and Washington, and she was development coordinator of a women’s shelter. She and her husband, Mark, have one daughter.
