Pathway to Membership
Entry into IDEA is through participation in an academic program. Membership in programs is selective and must be approved by both the program faculty and the sponsoring academic board of directors. The pathway to membership is outlined below.
- Request to apply to an existing or new academic program.
- Assess university capacity and support
- Apply to an academic program
- Implement the program and recruit students
- Gain full alliance membership.
Working Together for the Greater Good
Each university contributes to IDEA by:
- Recruiting, admitting, enrolling, and graduating students
- Teaching in academic programs
- Developing curriculum
- Contributing to the leadership and direction of IDEA
- Collaborating to deliver quality programs
Member Universities
Member universities are each accredited by one of 18 regional accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Accreditation indicates to students and university constituents that a program meets specific levels of quality for higher education.
