IDEA is made up of several stakeholder groups from multiple universities.
Alliance Leadership
While faculty and staff collaborate to provide a student-centered, educational experience, the alliance leadership is comprised of the IDEA Cabinet, two boards of directors, and the management team.
-
- IDEA Cabinet: Guides the overall policy of the alliance, sustains the culture of collaboration, maintains relationships with functional teams, and approves new alliance members.
- Human Sciences Board of Directors: Facilitates collaboration among members in human sciences programs and supports program maintenance and development.
- Agricultural Board of Directors: Facilitates collaboration among members in agricultural programs and supports maintenance and development.
- Management Team: Implements board initiatives and provides centralized resources and support. Provides guidance on the membership process and bringing new programs and universities on board.
Institutional Support
IDEA relied on support from multiple individuals, departments, and units across member universities to support the needs of the alliance and students.
Campus Coordinators
Campus coordinators are the first point of contact for students. They enroll students and oversee visiting student access. They act as information brokers who connect students to distance education resources and information at their university. View a list of all campus coordinators.
Listen as Lead Campus Coordinator Ashley Schultz explains the role of the campus coordinator.
Disability Support Services
The Disability Support Services functional team plays a critical role in ensuring all students who need and request accommodations and services receive them. Learn more about how these offices support students across various institutions.
Department Chairs
Department chairs review course rotations, make teaching assignments within programs, and provide support to faculty. View a list of department chairs for human sciences programs.
Registrars
University Registrars work as a functional team to ensure the seamless transcription of grades for IDEA students.
Academic Deans
Academic Deans provide important insight into the needs of their colleges and departments.
Chief Financial Officers
Chief Financial Officers meet annually to determine the common price for alliance courses. Through IDEA, students pay one common price per credit hour for graduate or undergraduate courses at all member universities regardless of the program or whether the student is in-state or out-of-state. Learn more about how revenue is distributed across the alliance.
Graduate Deans
Graduate Deans collaborate to support quality academic programs and implement IDEA policies while minimizing challenges for students.
Continuing Education Unit Deans
Deans in continuing education units serve as a functional team to provide the alliance with guidance in online learning, digital education, and continued learning modalities.
