Website Questions

  • When do we update our university webpages with the new name and logo?

The formal launch of the new name and brand took place at the 2024 annual conference in Kansas City, Missouri. Resources to help faculty and staff make this exciting transition are available in the Branding Toolkit. We anticipate the rebranding process to be complete by the fall 2024 semester. If you don’t have the authority to change your web pages, we encourage you to share these resources with colleagues at your university.

  • How will users get from the old website to the new website?

The new website will replace the old website. All old URLs will redirect users to the same or similar page on the new website. The management team worked with our web developers to review all 700+ URLs on our old site to ensure a new destination for each one on our new site.

  • Why are we changing our URL?

While our previous site’s URL, gpidea.org, has served us well for many years, it makes sense to change our web address to match the new name. Additionally, we have been approved through EDUCAUSE to use a .edu web address. This will help search engines and users better understand our purpose. Our new website homepage will be www.IDEA.edu and we anticipate the new website going live in mid-June 2024.
