The Early Childhood & Family Policy (ECFP) Fellowship Award is designed to support students pursuing careers in early childhood & family policy. What's included in the fellowship?

This fellowship includes a financial award of $3,000 disbursed over two semesters along with professional development and networking opportunities.

Why should I apply?

The fellowship provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth, financial support, and networking in the field of early childhood education and policy. It will also give you access to invaluable resources and connections to enhance your academic journey and future career. Read what one recipient of the fellowship had to share:

"This fellowship represents an important milestone in my academic and professional development, providing both financial support and invaluable opportunities for professional growth as I continue my Ph.D. studies in Child Development/Early Childhood Education and complete the ECFP certificate. This award allows me to focus more fully on my research and to refine my skills in policy analysis and advocacy while fostering connections with leaders and peers dedicated to equity in early childhood systems. These experiences will strengthen my ability to contribute to evidence-based policies that honor and support the diverse needs of children and families. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and excited to carry forward IDEA's mission through my work."
