Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Universities use a learning management system (LMS) to deliver online course content, and students use the LMS to complete coursework. Each university has its own LMS. However, all systems are similar.
You may encounter three systems while taking classes through IDEA:
For each system, students have a different username. To help you access course and email login pages, and remember usernames, we offer this fillable Course Login Tracking Sheet (PDF).
If you are having technical difficulties fulfilling a course requirement, contact tech support for documentation of the issue. Both university information technology services and the LMS tech support are available to answer questions.
Online LMS Resources for Students
Each LMS has a website with guides and resources, as well as a YouTube channel with short videos explaining specific LMS functions.
