Overview

Course Description

Indoor Vertical Farming (VF) System is a lecture-based course focused on all aspects of crop production under a housing or factory system, including the structure and lighting design and maintenance. The application of an indoor farming system is beneficial where land is limited, such as in urban areas, and the long-term goal is eliminating the effects of climate change.

Canvas

Approximately 2-3 weeks before the first day of class at K-State, the K-State campus coordinator, Ashley Schultz, will email course access instructions to visiting students for courses taught by K-State. These instructions are also available on the Visiting Students webpage at K-State. Students meeting all deadlines for eID creation and submission will have access to Canvas by the first day of class.

No required synchronous components. However, students may attend synchronous zoom lectures on Monday and Thursday from 2:30-3:20pm CST. The lectures will be recorded for anyone who cannot attend the zoom lecture.
