University Profile

Biography

Social justice, equity, and inclusion are common threads through Adrienne Sanogo's teaching, research, service, and leadership. She believe that teachers, educators, health professionals, and industry partners have the opportunity to drive change in this world and that it is our mission to do so.

One of her biggest goals is to help students confront their biases, grow as human beings, and to leave the university with the tools they need to be successful. Sanogo is especially committed to doing her part to diversify the teaching workforce and to prepare  teachers to teach ALL students, particularly in the teaching and learning of mathematics, Sanogo's academic home. She wants to encourage and influence future teachers and current teachers to teach mathematics for proficiency, to increase the number of underrepresented groups into the STEM fields.
