Carrie L. Hanson-Bradley

Carrie L. Hanson-Bradley is an assistant professor of practice in child, youth, and family studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Hanson-Bradley’s primary areas of interest and scholarly activity include systems-based mental health interventions, increasing access to mental health services for those affected by chronic and complex trauma, and exploring family dynamics that protect children from the deleterious effects of family stress, crisis, and trauma. 

Hanson-Bradley received her doctorate from the University of Minnesota in family social science with a focus in couple and family therapy. She teaches CYAF 280 (Family Science), CYAF 382 (Working with Parents), and several online courses for the IDEA program. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist who specializes in treating individuals, couples, and families affected by grief, loss, illness, and trauma.
