Biography

Christine Kiewra is an assistant professor of practice at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the Department of Child, Youth, and Family Studies. At UNL, she has taught courses including Development of the Preschool Child, Assessment in Early Childhood, Curriculum Planning in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Coaching Practicum, and Human Lifespan Development and the Family.

Kiewra has over 20 years of experience in early childhood care and education, teaching in the classroom, collaborating with families, coaching and providing professional development for teachers, proving professional development training, and being a program administrator. With a Master of Arts in special education, she is also a World Forum Foundation Global Leader for Young Children, coordinates “Bridging Research and Practice” in Exchange Magazine, and is on the Board of Consulting Editors for the International Journal of Early Childhood Environmental Education.
