Biography

Christian Maltecca is an associate professor in quantitative genetics and breeding in the animal science department at North Carolina State University. He is also a faculty of the genetics program at the same institution. His research focuses on the genetic improvement of economically relevant traits in livestock. The main interests of his research group are in the areas breeding, genomic prediction, and quantitative trait locus mapping of functional traits in dairy and swine.
