Biography

Dan Moser is Associate Dean of Academic Programs for the College of Agriculture at Kansas State University. In this role, he provides leadership for all instructional program functions, which include recruitment, retention, curriculum design and delivery, program assessment, advising, scholarships, international experiences, and distance learning alliances. He advocates for agriculture academic programs and manages all fiscal, human, and physical resources in the Ag Academic Programs Office.

Moser was raised on a small seedstock cattle operation in northeast Kansas. He earned his bachelor’s degree in animal sciences from KSU and his master's and doctorate in beef cattle genetics from the University of Georgia. He served as a faculty member for twenty years at UGA, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and KSU. He taught courses in animal management, genetics and animal breeding, conducted applied research, advised undergraduate and graduate students, and coordinated university seedstock cattle herds. From 2014 to 2020, Moser served as President of Angus Genetics Inc. and Director of Performance Programs for the American Angus Association, headquartered in St. Joseph, Missouri. In that role, he oversaw genetic evaluation programs, genomic testing services, research initiatives, business activities, and member education efforts for those organizations.
