Nikki Huckabay is a Teaching Instructor in the Early Childhood Education program at Oklahoma State University. With 19 years of experience in education—16 years in a kindergarten classroom and three in higher education—specializing in preparing preservice teachers to create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environments for young children.

Passionate about hands-on, child-centered instruction, Huckabay incorporates innovative teaching methods, including STEM integration, creative expression, and the purposeful use of technology in early childhood classrooms. Their work emphasizes the importance of play, family engagement, and interdisciplinary learning to support young learners' holistic development.

Beyond the university setting, Huckabay leads professional development workshops for early childhood educators, focusing on interactive math and science instruction, AI-enhanced lesson planning, and art activities for infants and toddlers. A dedicated mentor, Huckabay is committed to shaping the next generation of early childhood educators with research-based best practices.
